Residents of the city who have not recorded their biometric data for issue of national identity cards, at the special camps held at the ward level, can do so at the camps to be held at the respective zonal offices in the city.

The camps at the zonal offices would be held initially at the Srirangam and Golden Rock zonal offices from February 22, Corporation Commissioner V.P.Thandapani has announced.

Residents in wards 1 to 4 in Srirangam zone can appear for the recording of the data at the camp at the Srirangam zonal office and residents of wards 30, 31 and 34 can attend the camp at the Golden Rock zonal office from February 22 to 24.

The residents would be required to produce the acknowledgement slips issued during the enumeration for National Population Registry and an identity proof such as ration card, electors photo identity card, driving licence, PAN card, passport or bank passbooks.

Those who have migrated recently are required to submit the application forms for national population registry and submit the same at the camps being held at the respective wards.

Their bio metric data would be recorded during the second round of the campaign, Mr.Thandapani added.
