The Hunger Project – India is organising a 16-day campaign on ‘Violence against Women’ from November 25 to December 10, across eight states in India.

According to a press release, the campaign is being held in 10 districts across Tamil Nadu – Erode, Tirupur, Pudukottai, Tiruchi, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Ramanathapuram, Cuddalore, Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri, in collaboration with partner organisations.

Activities such as mobile van campaign, public meetings, poster exhibitions, cultural shows, rallies, distribution of hand bills, village meetings, etc., will be held.

Besides these, gram panchayat elected women representatives federations have also planned other relevant activities, pertaining to child marriages and domestic violence.
