The Tamil Nadu Untouchability Eradication Front of Communist Party of India(Marxist) conducted a three-day untouchability eradication campaign at Thankikottagam in Vedaranyam.

The campaign was part of the State-level campaign by the association across nine centres covering all districts. Nagapattinam centre envisages campaigns through three districts, including Tiruvarur and Thanjavur.

On Monday, the campaign that was initiated by Naagai Maali, MLA, Keezhvelur, also covered Tirupoondi, Sikkal, Keezhvelur, Thevur, and concluded in a public meeting in Valivalam.

V.Marimuthu, ex-MLA, A.V.Murugayyan, District Secretary, CPI(M), participated. Campaigns would cover Tiruvarur and Thanjavur and would conclude on August 15.
