Those who are unemployed and enrolled with Employment Office for the past five years without any break can approach the District Employment Officer for unemployment dole.

In a statement released here, Collector R. Kirlosh Kumar has said that those who have either passed or failed in SSLC, Plus-Two, graduates, postgraduates and diploma holders (other than those pursuing professional courses such as medicine, agriculture, law and animal husbandry) could apply for the assistance.

Family income

The candidates’ family income should not exceed Rs. 4,000 a month or Rs. 50,000 a year.

The Adi Dravidar and Scheduled Tribes candidates should not have completed 45 years of age and candidates belonging to other communities should be below 40 years of age.

Above all, the candidates should not occupy any post in government or private sector, nor should they get any other benefit either from the government or private parties.

They should also not be studying in colleges as regular students.

Correspondence courses

However, those pursuing higher education through correspondence and distance education mode are exempted from such a condition.

Those already benefited under the scheme need not apply, the collector added.
