MADURAI: A recruitment drive conducted recently by Tupperware India, a direct marketing company, saw over 500 women taking part in it. It was conducted to initiate business opportunities for women and build a community of successful entrepreneurs. According to a press release, the programme envisaged at empowering women. The company personnel interacted with participants and also conducted motivational sessions. Asha Gupta, Managing Director, said, “Our aim is to introduce and educate women about a convenient and simple way to economic empowerment which is not restricted by barriers of educational qualification or economic status.”
