A Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) bus conductor died of heart-attack while on duty on Thursday. V. Bhaskar (42), a conductor on route 12G operating out of the K.K. Nagar depot, collapsed on his seat at the P.T. Rajan Salai-Ramasamy Salai junction at 8.45 a.m. Passengers who noticed his bag fall, alerted the driver, B. Rajasekaran. He immediately rushed Baskaran to a private hospital nearby where doctors declared him dead.

Bhaskar, a resident of Ullagaram, is survived by his wife and a son who is in Class XII.
