As part of ‘Customer Delight Month'
The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, which is celebrating May 2011 as the ‘Customer Delight Month' in a bid to retain the customers moving towards the private operators following the introduction of ‘Mobile Number Portability' system, the ‘official communicator' has proposed to give special concessions to customers.
According to K. Balasubramanian, General Manager, BSNL Tirunelveli Telecom District, customers, who are booking a new telephone / broadband during May will get an ITC card worth Rs. 100 free of cost.
An ITC card worth Rs.200 will be given free of cost to the customer who are booking a new PCO.
Those who have booked their new connections from May 1 to this date may contact their customer service centre concerned for getting their free ITC cards.
Full talk time is given to all recharge vouchers and top up vouchers (both C top-up and Paper Voucher categories) of Rs. 110 value and above from May 14 to June 13. However it is not applicable for flexi top-ups. Wherever the talk value offered with top-up vouchers are more than the maximum retail price of the top-up vouchers, the higher talk value already available will prevail.
With effect from May 18, telephone, WLL phone and cell phone bill collection facility will start functioning at Panaivadalichathram Telephone Exchange to help the customers living in and around Thevarkulam, Kurukkalpatti, Panaivadalichathram Telephone exchange areas. The working hours of the counter will be from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on all working days, he said.
