VELLORE: The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited is celebrating its eighth anniversary at A.G.S. Mahal on Samy Chetty Street in Tirupattur from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday and at Srinivasa Kalyana Mandapam near the bus stand in Vandavasi on Thursday and Friday.
BSNL customers can pay their outstanding dues and avail themselves of special offers to get reconnection. The prepaid connection having a three-month validity and worth Rs.203 will be available at Rs.100. The Mega Super Plan SIM card worth Rs.249 will be available for Rs.100, with 3,000 free SMS and call charges for five BSNL local numbers at 25 paise per minute. Kurinchi SIM card worth Rs.249 will be available for Rs.100.
According to a release, broadband facility is available in all rural exchanges of Vellore and Tiruvannamalai districts. BSNL offers 20 per cent discount on rent for six months from the date of activation to all new customers of broadband from October 1 to 31 in view of the festival season. BSNL customers of Tamil Nadu could avail themselves of extra talk value during the festival season. Recharge coupon worth Rs.1,000 would have a talk value of Rs.1,125, recharge coupon of Rs.3,000 have a talk value of Rs.3,750 and that of Rs.5,000 a talk value of Rs.7,504.
A rent-free ‘Jodi card’ would be given free along with new post-paid BSNL mobile connection. SMS and calls between the main card and ‘Jodi card’ would be free. Installation charges would be waived for new landline/wireless in local loop (WLL) connection, while the deposit would be collected in four instalments.
It is enough to submit the application for new phone connection at the nearest BSNL customer service centre.
