The Masi Brahmotsavam commenced at the Sri Kalyana Venkatramana Swamy temple at Thanthonrimalai here on Thursday with the “Dvajarohanam” by pandits and purohits amid veda parayanam.

Temple car festival and float festival will form part of the celebrations at the temple, which is popularly known as the “Then (south) Tirupati''. The temple car festival will be held on February 18 while the float festival will be conducted on February 20. The Masi Brahmotsavam festivities end on February 25. The processional deities will be taken around the temple in palanquin in the morning, while they will be taken around aboard special vahanams in the evenings.
