Bosch run for a clean and green Coimbatore

Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions organised a 10 km and five km run here on Saturday for a ‘clean and green’ Coimbatore.

According to a press release from the company, the funds raised will be sent to the Residents Awareness Association of Coimbatore for its projects to beautify the city.

Vijay Ratnaparkhe, president and Managing Director of Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions, said that the company was growing in Coimbatore and this was an opportunity for it to participate in the growth of the city.

The focus this year was on ‘clean and green’ Coimbatore and the company will sustain its efforts in this area throughout the year, the release said.

Hundreds of participants, including college students, employees of Bosch and their family members and members of Coimbatore Runners Group and Runners for Life took part.

The winners of the run are:

Men (10 km) – V. Kalimuthu, Nithya Anand and Santhosh Kumar (open category), S. Kannan, Prakash Shenoy and Sethil Kumar (open senior category), Abhishek Goud, Sreekar Muralidhar and Mahendran Thangavel (Bosch category) and Prakash Shenoy, Siegfried Hoff and Vijay Ratnaparkhe (Bosch senior category), and Sunil Joshi (five km).

Women (10 km) – Patricia Pudisile, Savitha B, and Divya Chandran (open category), Vasanti Venugopal (open senior category), Patricia Pudisile, Savitha B, Muthamma Acharya (Bosch category) and Priya (five km).
