The prime accused in the bomb attack on union councillor, P. Natarajan, was produced before the Judicial Magistrate Court here on Thursday.

Judicial Magistrate M. Arivu remanded him to judicial custody. Later, he was taken to Madurai prison.

The police are searching for two other accused in the case.

Dindigul union councillor Muthupandi, who survived the attack, and his close associate Gunasekaran were arrested on charges of possessing lethal weapons, including a revolver, knives and other explosives in the car. They were produced in the same court this evening.

The judge remanded them to 15 days judicial custody and they were lodged in Tiruchi prison.

On Wednesday country bombs were hurled at Muthupandi near the Dindigul Press Club. The councillor survived the attack. Eight others, including three media persons, were treated at the Government Hospital for injuries.
