The Anupparpalayam police have intensified the investigation into the explosion that took place inside a room at Srinagar here on Tuesday evening in which J. Bhaskaran of Tiruchendur was killed.

Deputy Inspector General of Police (Coimbatore range) Bala Naga Devi told The Hindu that the police had ascertained that the deceased did not have any criminal track record in the past. She stated that the mystery behind the detection of two country made revolvers and few live bullets recovered from his room is yet to be unwinded.

The police were also trying to get the call details of the four mobile phones with SIM cards found in his room.
