Visiting temples on the new year has become the first agenda for many a villager.
But, a villager of Kangaanipatti, near Thuraiyur, did it with a difference. As the villager relies on the bovine for her sustenance, she decorated it with a mix of colour powders after a bath. "We believe that every part of a cow's body represents a god or goddess. By offering worship to the cow, we gain the pleasure of having offered our prayers to different gods and goddesses."
