: The Fire and Rescue Service Department observed National Integration Day by organising a lecture programme benefitting school children, officers, and other staff members.
After the customary pledge administered by Syed Mohamed, Divisional Fire Officer, V.C. Malarmannan, a visiting professor to Bharathidasan University, enlightened students of Seva Sangam School to their potential as agents of change in society in their individual capacities. The role of every individual counts in the creation of large-scale impact, particularly on the fronts of secularism and harmony, he said.
In his lecture titled ‘Individual Role in Social Harmony’, Prof. Malarmannan said every individual was capable of upholding individuality in their actions that would determine their personalities.Government employees
National Integration pledge was taken by government officials and police personnel on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi here on Monday.
Commissioner of Police Shailesh Kumar Yadav and police personnel and ministerial staff took the pledge at the City Police Office. At the Collectorate, the District Revenue Officer T.Thiagarajan administered the pledge to government officials and staff, an official press release here said.
