KRISHNAGIRI/DHARMAPURI: Banks in Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri districts functioned as usual on Wednesday. The strike call given by the AIBEA and AIBOA evoked little response in these districts. All branches functioned normally with one or two employees went on strike or absent on personal reasons, said a bank official.

Members of the unions like AIBOC and other employees association did not take part in the strike.

Branches of Indian Bank, State Bank of India functioned normally except some branches where one or two employees or officers of AIBEA and AIBOA were absent, banking sources said.

Cheques were not received for clearing from the Canara Bank, Karur Vysya Bank and Central Bank of India in the central clearing houses in Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri, the sources added.
