“Medical benefits given to us once should be reintroduced”

Tuticorin: The employees of the District Central Co-operative Bank observed a fast here on Wednesday to press their charter of demands.

They sought wage increment with retrospective effect from July 1, 1999. The employees urged the Government to introduce a comprehensive pension scheme for them. Medical benefits given to the employees once should be reintroduced.

The agitators said that promotions should be given to the employees on time. About 40 persons took part in the agitation.
