Under its community service project

TIRUCHI: The Tiruchi branch of the State Bank of India donated computers, furniture etc to four institutions, including two schools, under its community service banking project in connection with International Women's Day celebrations held here recently.

The Assistant General Manager of the bank, Alamelu Sivaraman, in her presidential address, explained the attractive features of the new schemes offered by the bank to the depositors such as SBI Platinum, SBI super saver scheme, multi option deposit, savings plus facility etc.

The Chief Manager of the branch, S. Veeramony, detailed the additional facilities available to the customers with core banking and also the ATM, internet, vishwa yatra card facilities.

The organising secretary, State Bank Staff Union, K. Vasudevan, and unit secretary, SBI Officers' Association, R. V. Moorthy, highlighted the community service activities of the bank branch.

Mrs. Alamelu Sivaraman and others handed over computers and other furniture to Girls Higher Secondary School for the Blind, Puthur, Panchayat Union Primary School, K. Kallikudi, Seva Sangam and the Nambikkai Day Care Rehabilitation Centre.
