SALEM: The Salem Siruthozhil Branch of State Bank of India (SBI) celebrated Bank Day on its premises on Tuesday.

A tree plantation programme was organised under the community service initiative of the bank. Eswar Rubber Group Managing Director K. Vaithyalingam planted a sapling on the premises. Assistant General Manager V. Arulpandi said the SBI was constituted on July 1, 1955 following an Act passed in Parliament. The day was celebrated as Bank Day.

He explained the new vision, mission and value concept framed by the bank.
