MADURAI: Wonderla Holidays, an amusement park at Bangalore, is reaching out to residents of Madurai and southern districts with the appointment of a promotional service coordinator for southern districts.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Rudresh H.S., Deputy Manager (Public Relations), said that in the three-and-a-half years since its establishment, Wonderla had attracted nearly 26 lakh visitors.

The park is run by V Guard group of companies, which is based in Kochi. It also owns the Veegaland the amusement in Kochi.

In order to reach out to Tamil Nadu, the coordinator — G. Rajesh of Net Park— would carry out institutional and corporate marketing activities and also organise special packages for the park.

The park meets the international safety standards and it had also obtained international certification in this regard. The water in the rides was frequently tested to ensure that it remained safe for the visitors.

Discounts

Mr. Rajesh said that schools and colleges would be offered discounts of 60 per cent and 35 per cent respectively. Special packages would be offered to corporate offices.
