Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MP T.R. Baalu on Thursday rejected criticism that he should have quit as Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways following the DMK’s exit from the United Progressive Alliance regime.

He was appointed as head of the standing panel by the Presiding Officers of Parliament and it was no way connected with the UPA coalition.
