For nil failure, reducing failure rate of distribution transformers in Tiruchi region
Awards were presented to best sections of Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (Tangedco) falling under the Tiruchi region for maintaining nil failure of distribution transformers and for reduction of failure rate of distribution transformers at a function held here on Friday.
A total number of 17 Tangedco sections received awards for maintaining nil failure of distribution transformers in their respective limit, while five other sections were awarded for reduction in failure rate of distribution transformers.
The Main Guard section coming under the Tiruchi Metro circle bagged the award for the seventh consecutive year for maintaining nil failure of its distribution transformers.
Distributing the awards, K.Thangachamy, Additional Chief Engineer, Tangedco Human Resource Development, Chennai, said periodic training programmes for different levels of officials were being organised to enhance their technical and managerial skills and to keep them abreast of the latest technological developments.
The financial position of the corporation was also being informed to the participating officials. TANGEDCO Superintending Engineers from various districts and officials participated.
