RPF urges students not to pelt stones as it will hurt passengers

MADURAI: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) conducted a passenger awareness programme at Al Ameen High School, Tirumangalam, on Saturday. RPF Inspector K.S. Kannan explained students the preventive measures to be taken by passengers while travelling in a train.

He said that they should avoid taking eatables from strangers and women passengers should not sit by the windows, exposing their jewellery. He urged the students not to pelt stones at passing trains as it would hurt passengers.

103 cases booked

The RPF, on Friday, booked 103 petty cases and realises a fine amount of Rs 10, 000.
