BANGALORE: An autorickshaw driver was found murdered in a vacant plot in Kadugondanahalli police station limits on Friday.

The police said passers-by found the body of Arumugam (30) in a vacant plot near a school in Anwar Layout, off Tannery Road.

The assailants had smashed his head with a boulder.

The Kadugondanahalli police, who have registered a case of murder, said they were yet to ascertain the motive behind the murder, which is suspected to have taken place on Thursday night.


Two men, riding a motorcycle, dashed against a motorist in Koramangala police station limits and made away with his mobile phone worth Rs. 9,000 on Thursday.

The police said the incident occurred around 9 p.m. when Vishwas, a marketing executive, was going to his house in Seshadripuram on his motorcycle. A case has been registered.
