MADURAI: Students must adopt an aggressive approach and have an understanding of the changes that take place in the regulatory framework, technology and competition, S. Balasubramanian, Chairman, City Union Bank, has said.
Addressing an R.L. Institute of Management Studies function here recently, he said that the attitude of a person was much more important than his or her knowledge or skills.
Elaborating about the changes taking place in regulatory framework and related policies, he said that transformation would take place irrespective of the party in power. “Economic changes will lead to other changes also,” he said. Technology was changing in every field, including banking. “Three years down the line, I do not know how banking will look. Money transfers across the country can now be done in a matter of hours. Payment and settlement technology has changed a lot,” he said. Competition had also changed a lot. “In the present day education system, even a difference of 0.1 mark, can make all the difference,” he said.
