CHENNAI: A memorial for freedom fighter Subramania Siva (1884-1925) will be established in Papparapatti of Pennagaram taluk in Dharmapuri district, Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi announced on Friday.

Estimated to cost Rs. 40 lakh, the memorial would be set up at the site where the remains of the freedom fighter were interred. A contemporary of V.O.Chidambaram and Subramania Bharati, Siva was a follower of Balgangadhar Tilak.
