CHENNAI: A septuagenarian was relieved of Rs. 70,000 in a moving bus here on Friday.

Police said Durai Rani (72) of Royapettah boarded a bus to T. Nagar after drawing Rs. 70,000 from a bank. After she got down near Mambalam, she realised that the money kept in the bag was missing. The accused had cut open one portion of the bag to steal the cash. A special team has been formed to investigate the case.
