Three-day event will be held from August 23 to 25

The 12th Tamil Nadu Science Congress would be conducted at Salem Periyar University from August 23 to 25 in which around one thousand participants including professors, scientists, experts and research scholars are expected to take part.

The three-day congress includes special lectures, invited talk, presentations and field visit and all deliberations and discussions will be held in Tamil.

Dr. K. Rosaiah, Governor of Tamil Nadu will inaugurate the congress. Vice-chancellors and invited speakers will deliver special talk on ‘Natural Resource, Conservation and Green Technology’, which is the focal theme of the congress.

The second day of the congress is mainly focused on various disciplines and deliberations that would be held in 28 parallel sessions.

The sessions include Geoscience, Biotechnology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Microbiology, Food Science, Environment, Journalism and Mass Communication, Psychology, Health, Medicine, Indian Medicine, Pharmacy, Engineering and Technology, Information Technology, Library, Education Technology and Physical Education, Sociology, Commerce, Economics, Political Science, Computer Science, Veterinary Science, Energy and Bio-electronics, Law, and Intellectual Properties.

Abstracts are invited (about two pages) from the participants who should register their name by paying registration fee of Rs. 600 in the name of “The Organising Secretary, 12th Tamil Science Congress, Salem – 11”.

Students’ registration fee is Rs. 300 for fellowship students and Rs. 200 for non-stipend students. Members of the public and interested persons can also attend the programme without registration.
