The 16779 Tirupati-Madurai Express, leaving Tirupati on July 22, Sunday, will be extended to Rameswaram.
According to a Southern Railway press release, the train will leave Tirupati on July 22 at 1.15 p.m. and reach Madurai on July 23 at 5.55 a.m.
Leaving Madurai at 6 a.m., the train will reach Rameswaram at 9.15 a.m.
The inaugural service of the extended 16780 Rameswaram-Tirupati Express with increased frequency will begin at Rameswaram on July 23 at 4 p.m.
It will reach Madurai at 7.05 p.m. and leave at 7.15 p.m.
The train will reach Tirupati at 10.35 a.m., the next day.
The increase in frequency of the 16779 Tirupati-Rameswaram Express will be from July 24.
The extended train will leave Tirupati on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays and Rameswaram on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The trains will stop at Mandapam, Ramanathapuram, Paramakudi, Manamadurai, Madurai, Kodaikanal Road, Dindigul, Tiruchi, Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Mayiladuthurai, Sirkali, Chidambaram, Cuddalore, Tirupadiripuliyurr, Villupuram, Tiruvannamalai, Vellore Cantonment, Katpadi and Pakala.
