Men mugged on train

Two persons, including an elderly man, who boarded a train that was headed to the railway shed in Avadi were robbed at knife point in Korrukupet.

According to police, Jnanamani (65), a resident of Tirunindravur and his friend Krishnamurthy boarded an empty train that was headed from Beach to Avadi. There were no lights or passengers in the train. When the train halted at a signal, two boys got in. On noticing that there were only two people on the train, they stepped out and some time later, they came in with another youngster. They looted Rs.7, 000 from the duo at knife point.
