Child marriage stopped in Dharmapuri

Revenue Officials on Friday stopped a child marriage in Dharmapuri district.

According to official sources, the parents of M. Ramachandran (17) and M.Saveetha (13) (names changed), hailing from Bodiyur near Palacode in Dharmapuri district, decided to solemnize the wedding. On information, Palacode Tahsildhar Madhavan reached the spot with the officials and stopped the ceremony, official sources said.
