SALEM: The Salem City Police recovered 13 motorcycles stolen from various places by a gang here on Saturday.

A team of police personnel conducted a vehicle check in ATC Nagar and intercepted a motorcycle and inquired two youths riding the vehicle. It was found that Nallathambi (19) and Ragupathi (20), residents of Pottiyapuram village in Omalur taluk, were allegedly involved in a number of robbery and vehicle lifting cases. In the Fairlands police limits, the personnel arrested Velu (24) and Thangaraj (18), also residents of Pottiyapuram.

The value of the recovered vehicles was estimated to be around Rs. 5.2 lakh.

The police said that the two were involved in a number of chain snatching, robbery, burglary and vehicle lifting cases.
