MADURAI: The Class X (State Board) public examinations began on Wednesday with 32,148 students appearing in this year’s examinations in Madurai district.
According to officials in the School Education Department, there are totally 103 examination centres in the district for SSLC examinations. Of the total 32,148 candidates, 15,100 are boys and the remaining 17,048 are girls, officials said.
Three flying squads have been formed to check malpractices in examinations centres. Besides this, there is a separate squad of the District Collector and another one squad sent from Chennai. Students from 225 schools in the district are appearing for the SSLC examinations.
