About 86,000 children below the age of five are expected to be immunised under the second round of the pulse polio campaign in the city on Sunday.

The oral vaccine would be administered to the children through 228 centres to be established at the government hospitals, corporation health centres, noon meal centres, schools, and other public places.

About 870 government servants, apart from volunteers of services organisations would be involved in the campaign in the city.

Camps

Special camps would be set up at railway stations, airport, bus stands, and places of tourist interest on the day to administer the drops to the children, Corporation Commissioner (in-charge) K.R.Selvaraj said in a press release.
