Think on the lines of great poet: SP. Muthuraman
TIRUCHI: "All success stories prove one point that achievement is synonymous with hard work," SP. Muthuraman, film director, said on Monday.
After unveiling the portrait of Suradha, a poet, at a function here, Mr. Muthuraman commended the former's literary works in general and contribution to the film industry in particular.
He urged the youth to think on the lines of the great poet by developing a lot of contacts in the society, which he said, would expose budding poets to legends of the literary world. On the life of Suradha, Mr. Muthuraman said, the poet toiled all through his life for the betterment of Tamil language, besides encouraging amateurs in the field of Tamil poetry to contribute more to the media.
"He never considered anyone his competitor," he said adding Suradha, in fact, yearned for more and more "saviours" of the language.
Pointing out hurdles faced by celebrities, Mr. Muthuraman said success never fructifies overnight.
`Everyone has to pay for success not just material investments alone, but also involvement and hard work," he said.
Urging the youth to grab every opportunity to showcase their talents, Mr. Muthuraman said younger generation must evade negative thoughts, which, he cautioned, would confine them to a small circle.
"They must never be satisfied with their achievements. The thirst must be on for ever."
Earlier, the host for the occasion, `Kappal Kavignar' Krishnamoorthy, recalled his association with Suradha and regarded the portrait a token of gratitude for the "great thinker."
