One such office was inaugurated at Nanganallur by zonal manager

CHENNAI: Life Insurance Corporation of India will launch 12 Satellite Sampark offices in the current financial year in various divisions of south zone to reach customers at their doorsteps.

G. Prabhakara, Zonal Manager (South), LIC of India announced this at the inaugural function of Satellite Sampark office at Nanganallur on Friday.

"With the opening of this branch, people can pay their premiums here for policies taken anywhere in India, send their new proposals through the branch office; arrangements have been made to issue policies immediately. As more than 260 branches of LIC have been networked, the policies can be serviced and information can be availed anywhere," he said.

T.S. Vijayan, LIC Chairman, while inaugurating the office premises, said LIC had contributed towards the nation's growth and asked the branch officials to sustain the tempo. He asked the officials to arrange for a drop box for collection of cheques after office hours and issue receipts the next working day.

R.S. Bharathi, Alandur Municipal Chairman, in his special address recalled that it was LIC, which funded the Palar Drinking Water Scheme of the Municipality. K.K. Singhal, Senior Divisional Manager, LIC of India, welcoming the gathering said this was their third Satellite Sampark branch after Avadi and Porur.
