Collector Ashish Vachhani appeals to political parties, candidates, voters

TIRUCHI: The Collector, Ashish Vachhani, has appealed to political parties, candidates and voters to strictly adhere by the code of conduct and extend their full cooperation for the smooth conduct of the local body polls.

Chairing review meetings to discuss the arrangements being made for the polls with Revenue and police officials here, Mr.Vachhani said all Indian Made Foreign Liquor shops in the district will remain closed from 5 p.m., on October 11 till the completion of the second phase of polling on October 15. The shops will remain closed on October 18 also. Arrangements for transporting ballot papers and boxes to the respective polling stations have been made. The City Police Commissioner Sunil Kumar Singh, the Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Das, the District Revenue Officer R. Lilly and other officials participated in the meetings.
