Madurai: The water level in the Vaigai dam stood at 69 feet. The inflow and discharge from the dam was 3244 cusecs at 8 p.m. The level in the Periyar dam was 134.20 feet with an inflow of 1632 cusecs and a discharge of 1905 cusecs. The combined Periyar credit stood at 8657 mcft.
Veerapandi recorded a rainfall of 29 mm, followed by Kuppanampatti - 25, Tekkadi - 21, Manjalar dam - 13, Idayapatti and Vaigai dam - 12 each, Madurai - 10, Gudalur - 7, Sittampatti - 6.5, Kallandiri - 6, Periyar dam, Mettupatti and Pulipatti - 5 each, Shanmuganadi - 4, Melur and Thaniyamangalam - 3.5 each and Uthamapalayam and Peranai 2 mm each.
