Department of Management Studies (DoMS), National Institute of Technology-Trichy (DoMS-NIT-T), has been conferred the Bloomberg UTV award in the category: Outstanding B-school (South).
Subramanian Natarajan Ezhil, General Manager- Marketing, Saint-Gobain Gyproc India, an alumnus, received the award that recognises talent and leadership among business schools in India, at a function held at Mumbai recently. The vision of these awards is to make a difference to the Education Fraternity.
The endeavour was to pay a tribute to temples of Learning and Gurus who shaped the destinies of future creators, according to a press release.
Bloomberg UTV (formerly UTVi) presented the prestigious award in recognition of leadership, development, marketing an institute, and industry interface of the Business school.
The awardees were chosen by an independent jury and a panel of professionals.
The Bloomberg UTV team collaborated with World Education Congress & Asian Confederation of Businesses to present the awards.
The award for best teacher in the information technology management category was bagged by G. Kannabiran, Dean and Professor, DoMS.
Srinivasan Sundarrajan, Director, NIT-T, felicitated the department, which had also received the Star TV B-school award and the Dewang Mehta award recently.
N. Thamaraiselvan, Head, DoMS, said the institution's support was supplemented by initiatives by students to enhance the level of the department where placements have been witnessing healthy rise in terms of profile and compensation.
