Asks people to vote for DPA candidates for more welfare projects

ATTUR: The implementation of combined water supply scheme for Narasingapuram municipality, 18 town panchayats and 920 hamlets would be taken up after the General Elections, said Local Administration Minister and DMK leader M.K. Stalin here on Friday.

The State Government had already allotted funds for the project, which was expected to cost about Rs. 270 crore, he said while campaigning for DMK candidate in Kallakurichi Lok Sabha constituency Adhi Sankar.

It was the DMK government that had taken up concerted efforts to address the water supply problems in the State, he said and asked the people to vote for the DMK-led Democratic Progressive Alliance to continue the implementation of more welfare projects.

Listing out the schemes implemented by the DMK Government, Mr. Stalin said the party had fulfilled a number promises made during the Assembly elections.

He campaigned in Vazhapadi, Talavasal and a few other parts in the district on Thursday.
