Glowing tributes were paid to F.G.Natesa Iyer, a multi-faceted personality and philanthropist and founder of Rasika Ranjana Sabha on his 131st birth anniversary at a function held in the city recently.
K. Sekar, secretary of the R.R.Sabha, lauded the unstinted efforts made by the late Natesa Iyer for establishing the Sabha.
M.George, Executive Committee member of the Sabha, recalled late Iyer's contribution to the art of drama and how he himself acted in many of them. He added that Mr.Iyer could be rightly called the ‘Father of Dramas'.
‘Karmugil' Muthuvel Azhagan, noted drama writer and director, and M.S.Mohamed Masthan, secretary of Tiruchi Mavatta Nataka Nadigargal Sangam offered felicitations.
The function ended with the screening of Mr.Muthuvel's video drama ‘Janma'.
