Tuticorin: Tuticorin Port Trust (TPT) honoured district toppers X and XII public examinations here on Saturday.

Gold coins were given to the first rankers on behalf of the TPT administration while its chairman G.J. Rao honoured the second and third rankers with silver mementos. As many as 400 sets of notebooks were also given away to poor students studying VI, VII and VIII. Tuticorin Port Workers’ Welfare Association had sponsored Rs. 52,000 for the purpose.

P. Muthu, Traffic Manager; T. Ashok Kumar, Senior Assistant Traffic Manager; T. Densingh, Deputy Chief Engineer; P. Mohan Kumar, Deputy Secretary, and S. Palanichami, president, Tuticorin Port Workers Welfare Association; A.M. Damian Leenus, Secretary; and S. Jayakodi, Treasurer, were present.
