NAMAKKAL: Namakkal Collector U. Sagayam promised that the district administration would provide patta transfer orders without any unnecessary delays.
Participating at the farmers grievances redressal day meeting held in Osakoottai village here recently, the Collector said that applications for patta transfer in the last three months would be processed immediately and necessary orders issued.
He instructed the officials concerned to process all the patta transfer applications without any delay.
The administration had also decided to issue patta transfers on the spot to the applicants during the farmers’ grievances redressal day meetings.
Interacting with the farmers, the Collector said that the administration had taken steps to ensure adequate supply of fertilisers in the district.
Efforts had been taken to promote food processing activities in the district.
Farmers would be encouraged to produce value-added products and sell them in the uzhavar santhais, he said.
Mr. Sagayam said that officials of all the departments should try to extend various services to the doorsteps of citizens.
He issued patta transfer orders to 818 persons and old age pension to 10 persons.
District Revenue Officer K. Shanthi, Joint Director of Agriculture Durai, Namakkal Revenue Divisional Officer Rajan and senior officials were present.
