It is open for school, college students

CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Forest Department will organise ‘On the spot drawing competition’ on September 9 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. as part of the Wildlife Week celebrations.

The competition, which is based on the theme ‘Various forms of wildlife’, is open for school and college students with a special category for the physically disabled.

The venues of the competitions are Rani Meymmai High School, Adyar; Rajaji Vidyashram, Kilpauk; Ebenezar Marcus Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Padi; Sathya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Kariappa Street, Purasawalkam; Life Help, East Coast Road, Palavakkam; Jaya Gopal Garodia National Higher Secondary School, East Tambaram; St.Mary’s Boys Higher Secondary School, Perambur; and Government Model Higher Secondary School, Saidapet.

An elocution competition on effect of global warming on wildlife and biodiversity and quiz contest will also be organised on September 16 at Children’s Park for school and college students, according to a release.
