TIRUCHI: Catching them young to meet the challenges in life is what Sri Sivananda Balalaya aims at.

An intensive course in life skills is under way at the school for class IX students.

Thiagarajan of Sadhana HR Solutions is conducting the programme comprising 20 sessions.

At a recent session, Mr. Thiagarajan said the skills were an integral part of the students’ progress and those who lacked them would lose out on real success. Students, irrespective of their academic skills, would attain success in school, college and profession as well as social relationships if their soft skills were tuned to perfection.

The course seeks to bring in holistic development among students, build a right attitude towards life, improve self-confidence, self-esteem, spirit of motivation and right interpersonal relationship and develop personality as a whole. Activities include group discussion, analytical thinking and good communication.

Correspondent K.G. Meenakshi said there was a noticeable improvement in the attitude of the students and they were beginning to shed their inhibitions and come forward to accept responsibilities. They had become emotionally balanced and mature.
