Interacts with patients about treatment and facilities provided to them

SALEM: The Administrative Reforms Commission headed by former Madras High Court Justice A.K. Rajan inspected the Salem Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College Hospital, fair price shops and offices of local bodies in the district on Wednesday.

Patients

The chairman, while visiting the hospital, interacted with the patients who were present there, about the treatment and facilities that were being provided to them.

The Commission members examined the sanitary conditions in the hospital.

Mr. Rajan also discussed with the officials about various works that had been taken up by the hospital management and the facilities that were required to ensure quality service delivery to the people.

Later, the Commission members examined the functioning of Kannankurichi town panchayat.

While inspecting the fair price shops at Chinna Tirupathi and Masinaickanpatti, the Chairman made enquiries with the family cardholders regarding the quality of goods distributed under the Public Distribution System.

The Commission members also visited Ayodhyapattinam panchayat union office.

Officials

Special Commissioner and Secretary to Government for Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department, T.S. Sridhar, Collector N. Mathivanan and senior officials accompanied the commission members.
