TIRUNELVELI: Workers of pottery industry submitted memorandum to the Collector, G. Prakash, on Monday pressing a charter of demands.

They said the Government should provide motorised wheel to make the earthenware to those who have registered their names with the unorganised labour welfare board and pension of Rs. 400 should be increased to Rs. 1,000 and the marriage assistance from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 10,000. Free house site patta, training on making terracotta, subsidized loans to establish modern factory and kiln and good number of stalls in the government shopping complexes to sell the earthenware should be given.
