TIRUCHI: A large number of students from various schools participated in a rally to create awareness on the rights of the children organised by the District Administration in the city on Wednesday. The participants carrying placards and banners containing slogans on the need for protecting the rights of the children marched through the Collector’s Office Road.

The rally was flagged off from St. John’s Vestry Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School , by the Revenue Divisional Officer, S. Ramanitharan.

The PA to the Collector (Noon Meals), A. Thangavel, Information and Public Relations Officer, S. Pandian, Project Officer, Integrated Child Development Project, S. Revathy and the District Education Officer, Thangavel, also took part in the rally.
