TIRUCHI: For the eight time, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Tiruchi, has won the country’s prestigious Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)-EXIM Bank Commendation Certificate for its significant achievement on the ‘Journey Towards Excellence.’

CII vice-president and managing director and CEO, ICICI Bank, K.V. Kamath presented the certificate at the inaugural of the ‘Quality Summit’ organised by the CII in Bangalore on Thursday. General Manager (Quality), V.T. Sathyanathan; Additional General Manager (Commercial), C.S. Ramachandran; Additional General Manager (Controls and Instrumentation), S. Dharmalingam, Additional General Manager (Valves commercial), T. Vasanthakumar and other officials received the 2007 certificate on behalf of BHEL, Tiruchi.

Based on an application from BHEL, Tiruchi, a team of professional assessors evaluated its merit and conducted a spot visit to the High Pressure Boiler Plant and the Seamless Steel Tube Plant and recommended it for the commendation certificate for this year.
