St.Bede’s Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School celebrates centenary
CHENNAI: A two-day inter-school cultural festival, ‘Festa Di Talenti’, as part of the centenary celebrations of St.Bede’s Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School, Santhome, got underway on Monday.
The highlight of the ‘festival of talents’ is that it will provide a platform for students from Classes I to XII from to showcase their skills in various fields, from skit, dance to creative writing.
Teams of primary students from six schools enacted parables from the Bible, including the second coming of Jesus Christ and unforgiving servant and his kind master. Children dressed in bright hues added colour to the contest and vied for attention with their performance.
The pageant show of the primary school children won a wide round of applause from the audience.
The other contests conducted simultaneously in different venues also had enthusiastic participants. While some competed to spell words correctly, others got busy with painting brushes to give colour to their favourite scenery on canvas.
Director of Don Bosco Institute of Communication Arts Harris Pakkam, who inaugurated the fest, emphasised the need for students to nurture their talents till they reached perfection.
Students from around 20 city schools participated.
