CHENNAI: A ceremonial passing-out parade of the Central Industrial Security Force constables was held on Saturday at the Regional Training Centre campus, Thakkolam, Arakkonam.

V.P. Prabhu, senior commandant and principal, said the CISF had now evolved multitasking competencies and shouldered extensive responsibilities such as airport security, DAE installations, VIP security, government buildings and metro rail security and security of heritage monuments. Over 70 per cent of the units under the CISF’s security umbrella were totally crime-free. The RTC in Arakkonam was the largest training centre of CISF and conducted various specialised training programmes, he said.

A total of 41 constables participated in the parade.
